The Executive Committee of the Academic Sport Association - ASA Israel held its meeting on November 27. The focus of the Executive Committee was to enlarge their students participation and to include more universities and private institutes to take part of their sport programmes. Some new events activities have therefore been planned - organisation of women league in basketball, instead of one tournament a year, organization of other new leagues in track & field for men and women, navigation for men and women, and adding the league in futsal for women.

 

ASA EC also signed an agreement of cooperation with the Women Football Association, to promote the game in the universities, and contribute by sending senior referees.

 

 

Last, but not least, Mr Ilan Kowalsky had been named Vice-President of ASA. Coach Kowalsky is the CEO of the Sport Department at The Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya, member of the EC of the Israeli basketball federation, FIBA  Appeals’ Commission and EUSA Technical Delegate for Basketball 3x3.
