Antequera to welcome EUSA Handball in 2017

Inspection visit of the City of Antequera in Spain, host city of the European Universities Handball Championship 2017, was the last preparation visit before this year's season of the European Universities Championships starts.

EUSA Technical Delegate Ms Carmen Manchado Lopez visited the host city between January 19 and 21, meeting the Organising Committee, lead by Mr Pedro Montiel as the President and Mr Alejandro Guerra as the Championship coordinator.

Accommodation during the Championship

The inspection visit covered sports venues, accommodation, catering and other key aspects of the championship. EUSA handball event will again host the European Handball Federation (EHF) referee clinic, showing great cooperation between the federations.

The City of Antequera, near Malaga, and the local Organising Committee are very experienced organising international sports events, and have hosted World University Handball Championship, licensed by FISU, in 2016.
