Announcing FISU Young Reporters Programme 2017

The International University Sports Association (FISU) and the Organizing Committee of the 2017 Summer Universiade are announcing the call for FISU Young Reporters Programme which will be held in August 2017 during the 29th Summer Universiade in Taipei City.

Two to four young sport journalists or journalism/communications students per continent (respecting gender parity whenever possible) will be selected by the FISU Media & Communication Committee to partake in the event. They will be joined by their peers from Chinese Taipei. Travel costs, as well as lodging and meals are covered for the selected participants.

Three previous editions in Shenzhen, Kazan and Gwangju give proof that the FISU YRP is very beneficiary for these aspiring reporters’ future careers, as some have already landed key functions in media and communications.



Interested candidates, aged between 21 and 25, need to be proficient in English and familiar with sports journalism. A wide range of media tasks will be assigned to them during the Games to gain as much experience as possible for their future careers and to spread the message of International University Sport.
