European University Sports Association (EUSA) recognises efforts, achievements and contributions to university sports with annual special awards and recognitions. We are happy to share the recipients of the 2016 awards with you!
MOST ACTIVE NUSA 2016: Croatian Academic Sports Federation (CASF), Croatia
The Most Active NUSA is the NUSA with the highest points obtained by organizing and participating in EUSA events.
MOST SUCCESSFUL NUSA: Croatian Academic Sports Federation (CASF), Croatia
The Most Successful NUSA is the NUSA with the highest points obtained at the final ranking in EUSA events.
BEST UNIVERSITY 2016: University of Zagreb, Croatia
The Best University is the university with the highest points obtained at the final ranking in the EUSA events.
ENNO HARMS FAIR PLAY AWARD 2016: EUG 2016 volunteer team
For dedicated work of local and international volunteers, promoting values of the event and EUSA - fair play, mutual respect and inclusion, and for special friendly atmosphere created during the Games.
ORDER OF MERIT: Universities of Zagreb and Rijeka, Cities of Zagreb and Rijeka
For active participation and outstanding support in preparation and during the European Universities Games 2016, enabling it to be the largest event in the history of EUSA.
SPECIAL AWARD: European Paralympic Committee (EPC)
For close partnership in introducing competitions for students with disabilities as integral part of European Universities Games.
PHOTO COMPETITION AWARD: Mikhail Tiuftin, Russia
For the photo taken during the Water Polo event at the European Universities Games 2016. Among the Facebook photo competition voters we have drawn four participants, to receive practical awards: Aleksandra from Poland, Kristine from Norway, Arnaud from France and Argo from Estonia.
The awards will be officially presented to the recipients at the EUSA Gala, to be held as a part of the EUSA Conference in Coimbra, Portugal on April 7 and 8, 2017.
