Adapting RYSE project to support inclusive sport
After successfully compiling the basis for the inclusive sport charter and completing the supporting video material for the educational toolkit, the Rainbow Youth for Sporting Equality (RYSE) project partners met online during summer to adapt the planning of dissemination events.
In the following week, fine-tuning of the produced material will follow, along with preparations for project's conference as the main dissemination event, which is now scheduled to be a hybrid event, with live and online elements.
The event will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia on October 16 and 17, with possibilities of online participation. Representatives of sports organisations, educators, decision makers, as well as athletes, young people and others interested, will be introduced the online toolkit and have a chance to discuss the importance of inclusive and safe sport for everyone, especially LGBT+ young people. Topics will focus on gendered sport, changing rooms, language, consequences and statement of inclusion.
RYSE is a multilateral European project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, aimed primarily to improve experiences for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer young people in sport by creating training for sports educators on LGBTIQ+ issues and experiences in sport.
