75th anniversary of Swiss University Sports Federation
At this occasion EUSA President Alberto Gualtieri presented the EUSA plaque to SUSF President Martin Hodler. "We are very happy to be with the Swiss University Sports Federation here in Magglingen and feel to be part of your family," Alberto Gualtieri said. "Switzerland was one of the first countries to help to create the idea of European University Sports Association and belonged to the founding members of EUSA 1999 in Vienna." Switzerland, a very active member of FISU since the beginning, became more and more active also in the framework of EUSA and will organize the EUC Basketball this year in Geneva. "You are fully engaged in our work, we are proud to have the Swiss Leonz Eder in the Executive Committee of EUSA, and we expect a further support for our activities by your country," EUSA President Gualtieri added.
Around 900 Students from many Swiss Universities, Federal Institutes of Technology and Universities of Applied Sciences took part in the Championships in Magglingen. Some of them will also compete in different EUC this year. In a big party tent the students celebrated also the 75th anniversary of SUSF.
