365 days until EUSA Games 2014
Just days after the Summer Universiade in Kazan, student athletes around Europe can mark their calendars for the next big multi-sport event: the 2nd European Universities Games 2014! Exactly one year from now, the Opening Ceremony of the 2nd European Universities Games will take place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
Student athletes from 45 European countries will participate at the highest recreational level. During our eighteen day tournament the teams will compete for the European title in ten sports;; badminton, basketball, handball, tennis, football, volleyball, rugby 7's, futsal, table tennis and rowing.
EUSA Games 2014 will take place between 24 July and 8 August 2014 on and around the campus of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. There will be an "International Student Village" where students can exercise, sleep and get to know each other.
The Organising Committee is preparing for the registration of the participants which will open 1 December 2013. Tournament director Henk Smit explains "Having the 2nd European Universities Games in Rotterdam in 2014 is a beautiful highlight in the academic year 2013-14, in which the Erasmus University celebrates its 100th anniversary. We hope to welcome nearly 3000 student athletes from all over Europe and we are looking forward to this international, fun and sportive event!"
