32nd FISU General Assembly concluded

The 32nd General Assembly if the International University Sport Federation (FISU) was held on August 9 and 10 in Shenzhen, China. The Assembly was a prelude to the 26th Summer Universiade which is being hosted in the same city.

On August 9th, followed by the other points in the agenda, including the report of the activities and projects in the past period, new members were confirmed. FISU family now counts 163 national university sports organisations around the world. FISU Member Associations also elected a new Executive Committee, chaired by Mr Claude-Louis Gallien, former 1st Vice-President of FISU. New 1st Vice President became Mr Oleg Matytsin (RUS). The composition of the new board is as follows:

1st Assessor: Alison Odell (GBR)
Assessors: Kim Chong Yang(KOR), Isato Igarashi (JPN), Kemal Tamer (TUR), Verena Burk (GER), David Cabelo (ESP), Marian Dymalski (POL), Tai-Cheng Chen (TPE), Omar Al Hai (UAE), Kairis Ulp (EST), Peninah Kabenga (UGA), Ralethe Malumbete (RSA), Hasan Chikh (ALG),  Kenny Chow (HKG), Rosaura Mendez (CRC) and Leopold Senghor (SEN)
Representatives of the Continental federations: AUSF, EUSA, FASU, ODUPA and OUSA
Internal Auditor: Adrian Gagea (ROU)

Mr Killian was named honorary president for his past efforts and achievements.

On august 10, the assembly concluded with the presentations of the past Winter Universiade and upcoming universiades: Winter 2013 Maribor (SLO), Summer 2013 Kazan (RUS), Winter 2015 Granada (ESP) and Summer 2015 Gwangju (KOR).
