Xi’An city hosted the second edition of the China-France University Sports Week between September 24 and 30, co-organized by the Federation of University Sport of China (FUSC) and French University Sport Federation (FFSU) as the celebration of the International Day of University Sport (IDUS) and a significant outcome of China-France High-Level People-to-People Exchange Mechanism.

The opening ceremony of the week-long event was launched on September 26, attended by Mr Yang Liguo, FUSC Secretary General and Vice-President of FISU, Mr Vincent Rognon, FFSU Secretary General, Mr Xue Yanqing, FUSC Vice-President & FISU Media and Communication Committee Member, Mr Francois Capel, Deputy HOD of FFSU, together with more than 2.000 local senior officials, faculty staff and students.



Besides the football competition, the French team enjoyed a fantastic cultural journey in the city as well. Visiting Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine, they experienced the globally noted Chinese therapy of Tuina and fire cupping, learnt Chinese calligraphy; traditional waist drum performance, Chinese Kung Fu and classic Tang-dynasty dances dazzled the team members.
