2024-25 EUSA Student Commission introductory meeting
Members of the EUSA Student Commission with the mandate 2024-25 met online on February 26 for the introductory meeting.
The members were greeted by Klea Taipllari from Albania, Chair of the Commission, and member of the Executive Committee of the European University Sports Association (EUSA), and Andrej Pisl from Slovenia, EUSA Projects and Policy Manager, acting as the Secretary of the Commission.
Members first had a chance to get to know each other, and then get more information about EUSA and the Student Commission. Tasks and Opportunities for commission members were discussed in more details, including EUSA What’s Up Student Column, FISU Volunteer Leaders Academy (FVLA), European Universities Games 2024 (EUG2024), Networking and EU projects.
EUSA Student Commission (STC) is composed of the Chair and the commission’s Secretary, and five appointed members: Atte Kolehmainen from Finland, Francisca Coko from Croatia, Jan Sobczak from Poland, Nicoleta Mirzac from Moldavia and Reka Molnar from Hungary.
Main aim of the Commission is to make sure the students’ interests in EUSA are protected, to make recommendations to EUSA Executive Committee on the development, implementation and promotion of non-sports student-participation activities.
The members will meet in March online, and in-person during the European Universities Games, which will be held this July in Hungarian cities of Debrecen and Miskolc.
