2023 #MyEusa Photo Competition winner announced
The votes for 2023 #MyEUSA photo competition have been tallied, with the grand overall winner of the contest finally decided.
During the last year's season of the European Universities Championships, European University Sports Association (EUSA) was collecting entries for the #MyEUSA photo competition. Out of the entries, photos from each of the 22 sports featured in the 2023 EUSA sports calendar have been selected, and the put through a final voting.
The voting has been done through Facebook voting, where the greater public could have placed one or more votes the chosen photos, selected from the big pool of photos, all taken during the 16 sports events taking place both in summer and in winter.
With no further ado, we are happy to announce that the photo created by Paolo De Maria, photographer of the European Universities Winter Championships in Val di Zoldo, Italy is the winner of the 2023 #myeusa competition!
The photo was made during the Alpine Skiing Championship in Val di Zoldo, capturing Simon Nantschev from University of Applied Sciences Munich (GER), also winner of the bronze medal in Giant Slalom race in the men category.
As a prize for creation and winning the best photo, the author will get a goodie bag from EUSA. We congratulate Paolo De Maria for winning the #MyEUSA photo competition and we encourage the greater public to stay tuned for the next edition of the #MyEUSA photo contest.
The 2nd position of the 2023 #MyEUSA photo competiton was reserved for a photo of the European Unviersities Beach Volleyball Championship held in Malaga (ESP), while 3rd position belonged to a photo made during the European Universities Snow Volleyball Championship in Val di Zoldo (ITA).
The European University Sports Association (EUSA), in cooperation with its Student Commission (EUSA STC) has been organising an annual Photo Competition since 2009, where participants and others involved in EUSA sports events are encouraged to take photos and capture the right moment to reveal the true nature of the university spirit.
