Representatives of the national coordinating bodies and partners of the European Week of Sport and the #BEACTIVE campaign met online on June 15 for the Key Players' Webinar.
European University Sports Association (EUSA) was also represented during the streaming event by Mr Salvatore Sisca, new EUSA Media Coordinator.

The meeting started with the welcome of Mr Ignazio Cocchiere on behalf of European Commission's Directorate General for Education and Culture (DG EAC), who introduced the outlines of the new edition of the European Week of Sport, while praising the good results from past year activities and the numerous application already received for the #BeActive Awards.
This 9th edition of European Week of Sport will be occurring as always 23–30 September 2023, while multiple events and activities are being carried out and celebrated throughout the year. 

 Representatives from Pomilio Blumm, EWoS 2023 communication agency, then introduced and explained the communication campaign of this year.

The pillars of the communication strategy are going to be three: Involvement, Inclusion and Innovation. Around these keywords the campaign will thrust forward to accomplish Activation, Empowerment and Engagement of European citizens.
The desired outcome is changing society through the increase of active people all around the continent, removing obstacles that people encounter on their path to do sports and creating innovative activities for everyone. 

 "JOIN THE MOVEMENT'' is the new claim of this year's campaign. All the calls to action are going towards inviting people to practice sports, gathering together becoming a movement.

The EWoS 2023 visual identity it then has been presented: it will rely on the parallelepiped shape, which forms a frame for all people portrayed in the communication campaign, representing also a good concept of inclusion during dynamic scenes. 

Then participants have been divided into smaller groups, to share between all parties involved some best practices of past years, as well as problems encountered in communicating the campaign and organizing the related activities and events. All the collected experiences and ideas emerged were then presented and discussed in the plenary and final phase of the meeting. 

 European University Sports Association (EUSA) is an official partner of the initiative, and will continue supporting the European Week of Sport. This includes the overall promotion of the #BEACTIVE ampaigns throughout the year, also during the 2023 European Universities Championships. EUSA will give special focus to the September celebrations of the International Day of University Sport and the European Week of Sport. We invite our members, partners and supporters to take active lead and organise activities and take part in them, promoting #BEACTIVE initiatives.
