According to tradition of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), The Organising Committee of the Summer Universiade also organises a conference, and same is true for this summer, when Taipei City will hold a four-day world conference between August 27 to 30, 2017.

The 2017 FISU World Conference on Development through sport is an international university sport platform for academic and culture exchanges during the Universiade period, and will include international scholars’ keynote speeches, research presentations and parallel sessions. It represents an important channel to exchange academic ideas and to stimulate research creativity. The conference prompts the establishment of cooperation between academic researchers in related fields from different countries. By working together, brainstorming and contributing to the efforts of global university sport, the participants will be able to map out a better future.

Conference Organizing Committee extended the abstract submission deadline until January 31, 2017. Registration is also open, with early-bird discount by March 31.
