2016 General Assembly of FISU America

The General Assembly of FISU America (former ODUPA), continental university sports body for the Americas, was held between February 12 and 15, 2016 in Sao Paulo, hosted by the Brazilian University Sports Federation CBDU.

The outgoing President of FISU America, Mr Luciano Cabral, thanked all the members for their work and achievements in just over a year to put the American continental federation back on track. He thanked member federations for coming to Sao Paulo and said they demonstrate the new dynamics of the organisation.

The Assembly was also attended by FISU 1st Vice-President Mr Leonz Eder, who addressed the participants, thanking them for the invitation and expressing satisfaction about the development of the continental federation.

Reports from the President, Secretary General and the Treasurer were approved by the delegates of the 18 countries attending the meeting. After the discharge of the incumbent Executive Committee, the election of the new board took place in a constructive atmosphere.
