The Executive Committee of the Federation of Africa University Sport (FASU) met for a two-day meeting in Kampala, Uganda at the FASU Secretariat on September 29 and 30, 2016.

FASU President Mr Malumbete Ralethe stressed the need for FASU to aim for self-sufficiency in order for activities to be carried out properly.

Members discussed various issues including minutes from previous meeting and matters arising, reports from the Secretariat and FASU Zones, membership and subcommittees.



Hosting rights of the 9th FASU Games were attributed to Mekelle University from Ethiopia, where the event will take place in July 2018. FASU Executive Committee will attribute the 10th and 11th editions (2020 and 2022 respectively) at their next meeting in December 2016.
