The European Week of Sport is an initiative of the European Commission to promote sport and physical activity across Europe. 2016 will mark the second edition of the Week. Building on the success of the first edition, the European Week of Sport will continue generating new activities and also building on already existing successful ones. The overarching campaign theme remains “#BeActive”, and should encourage everyone to be active during the Week but also to stay active all year long.

EUSA promotion of Beactive

European University Sports Association (EUSA) is one of the official partners. Last year, EUSA promoted the European Week of Sport and the #BeActive campaign through its publications, social and other media channels, presentation at the EUSA Conference, presence at all its sports events, as well as by organising accompanying activities during the European Universities Rowing Championship in Hannover (GER) during the European Week of Sport in 2015. EUSA remains active partner also in 2016 and will continue to fully support the movement and encourage its partners, members, universities and our event participants to join the initiative and #BeActive.
