2016 ENGSO Assembly in Vilnius

European Non-Governmental Organisation ENGSO and its Youth section ENGSO Youth had their annual seminar and statutory meeting between May 13 and 15, 2016 in Vilnius, Lithuania.

The events started with the seminar where the recent European sport policy developments were presented and encouraged interaction and debate between European governmental institutions and non-governmental sports organisations.

ENGSO President Mr Cardoso

ENGSO President Mr Carlos Cardoso welcomed all the members and guests. The General Assembly gave an opportunity to member organisations to influence the work of ENGSO.

Reports and Presentations

The Assembly elected Mr Stavri Bello from Albania into the Executive Committee, adopted new statutes, approved yearly budget and activities for 2015, and voted on the accession of Cyprus and the formal integration of the European Women and Sport Network's work into ENGSO's structure.

ENGSO Expert groups representatives

ENGSO is also very active in several EU expert groups, and the Seminar and Assembly were an opportunity to give the members and partners a highlight from work carried out there.

ENGSO Youth

European University Sports Association (EUSA) and ENGSO are strategic partners and also cooperate in specific projects, like the SCORE - Strengthening Coaching with the Objective to Raise Equality, Co-financed by the European Commission's Erasmus+ Sport Programme.
