On the invitation of Israeli Academic Sport Association (ASA), EUSA President Mr Adam Roczek paid a visit to Israel in order to attend the annual Leadership Conference.

This year's edition of the Conference gathered more than 70 students representing student union of Israeli Universities. The aim of the meeting is to strengthen relations between ASA and student unions and discuss social issues related to sport. This conference this year was held in Eilat between March 20 and 22 and focused on 2 main subjects: violence and racism in sport and disabled students at the campus. EUSA President gave a lecture about the European University Sports Association and its activities, inviting students to take part in EUSA projects.



The student participants of the Leadership Conference will also serve as volunteers in the ASA Winter Championships, a multisport event of 14 sports which will start on March 23 in Eilat, with presence of more than 1400 athletes from 26 Universities.



On the way to Eilat Mr Roczek also visited the Ben Gurion Beer Sheva University which has one of the biggest university sports clubs in Israel, having over 20000 registered members. ASA Beer Sheva is competing in 17 sports organized under umbrella of Israeli Sports Federations and its pearl in the crown in futsal men team.



Mr Victor Hadad, President of the ASA Israel, is also the coach of the before-mentioned university team, as well the coach of Israeli national futsal team.
