The 1st European Universities Cricket Trophy was held in Sofia, Bulgaria between July 16 and 18, 2015.

On the cricket ground in the National Sports Academy Vasil Levski, the opening was attended by the Rector of the Academy prof. Pencho Geshev, the mayor of Students Municipality Mr Dimitar Dilchev, representatives from NSA’s guidance and the president of the Bulgarian Cricket Federation prof. Nikolay Kolev. Dance ensemble Bulgary in traditional national costumes welcomed the guests with a special performance.



In the trophy six Cricket Twenty / 20 teams took part, divided into men and women teams.



After the exciting matches, the event concluded July 18 with the finals and closing ceremony.



Medallists were awarded by prof. Kolev, President of Bulgarian Cricket Federation and Mr Ivan Dimitrov - Deputy chair of the Parliamentary committee of Children, youth and sports.



The trophy  was organized by the Bulgarian Students Cricket Union, National Sports Academy Vasil Levski and Bulgarian Cricket Federation. Over 80 participants from 4 Universities from took part in the first edition of the event.
