Today, on August 4, the badminton team competitions concluded at the European Universities Games, also concluding the first stages in volleyball, football and basketball in the regular part.

In badminton, the University of Duisburg-Essen (GER) placed first in the team competitions, with Uludag University (TUR) coming second. The awarding ceremony will be held after the Friday’s finals in doubles and singles.

In basketball, 4 matches in men’s and 4 matches in women’s category were played today, concluding Stage 1 of the competition. The competitions will conclude on August 6 with the second stage with quarterfinals.

In volleyball the second stage of the competition will also start on Wednesday, after playing postponed matches tomorrow.

Football competitions also concluded today with the first stage and will continue tomorrow with the 2nd group stage.

Tomorrow is therefore a rest day for many participants of the Games, and then the event goes into final sprint until the finals on Friday.
