1st EUROPEAN UIVERSITIES FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIP |
The 1st European University Futsal Championship took place in the coastal City of Paralimni . 12 university teams from 10 European countries participated in the event, which was hosted by the Cyprus University Sports Federation. The participating teams were divided into 4 groups; the winners of the groups qualified in the semifinals; while the others had to fight for the placement from the 5th place on. Teams of University of Novi Sad and the University of Zagreb competed against each other in the finals. In a very attractive match the University of Novi Sad won with 6:1. The bronze medal went to the University of Poznan, who won the match for the third place against the University of Eindhoven with 3:1.
