1st EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP |
45 competitors from 9 European countries took part at the first European University Badminton Championship, which was organised in Krakow, Poland. The team and individual competitions were played in the Bronowianka Sports Hall which had 5 special badminton carpet courts laid for the events, with the lighting and surroundings excellent for playing badminton. The tournament was marked by the domination of the players from the University of Ljubljana, who won gold medals in all the categories. Beside the sports programme, all the participants were presented with tourist information on the city of Krakow and its surroundings, and assistance was available for local visits.
