1st EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
CUS Roma hosted the 1st European University Football Championship. Altogether 14 men and women teams from 10 European countries participated in the event, organised in the romantic City of Rome. The tournament in the Italian capital was organised on a very high level, especially the teams from Germany came to the championship very well prepared, which resulted in their winning of titles in both men and women categories. In the men finals, the University of Wurzburg defeated the University of Nurnberg with 1:0, the 3rd place went to the University of Belgrade who beat the University of Grenoble 2:0. In the women finals, the University of Barcelona lost 3:5 against their German colleagues.
